Requirements/Skills :
- Registered with SANC (South African Nursing Council).
- Proof of Identity.
- Computer literacy.
- Clinical expertise in Professional area of qualification.
- Knowledge of caring principles in caring for the elderly with observation abilities and the right approach to it.
- Strong leader with great organizational methods.
- Administration and Staff Management.
- Acknowledged Nursing Training from a reputable organisation.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of personnel, management, residence and their relatives as well as external relationships.
- Ability to manage pressure, conflict and demands.
- Prioritize tasks as a team player.
- Genuine interest in working with residence living with Dementia and Old Alzheimers.
- Care for the elderly experience or qualification.
- Previous management or supervisory experience.
- Minimum 2 years professional or personal experience in a similar position.
Duties:
- Candidate will be required to work shifts as per shift roster. This includes day, night, weekends en public holidays.
- Oversee and maintain the care of all residents at the old age home on a daily basis.
- Ensure highest possible standard of care in a professional manner and effective supervision of the nursing care team.
- Acting as a competent and efficient clinical and managerial decision maker within and on behalf of the nursing and caring team and taking responsibility for those decisions.
- Care plans: Developing and implementing change to improve the quality of nursing and caring.
- Administering prescribed medicines and maintaining the appropriate and excellent records in line with the company’s policies and procedures.
- Participating in staff and client meetings as required.
- Providing support and guidance when required.
- Maintaining and improving professional knowledge and competence.
- Attending training days on or off site as and when required.

- Diploma in Nursing (3 years).
- Communication Skills at NQF level 4 and observation abilities.
- Mathematical literacy at NQF level 4.
- Life Science at NQF level 4.
- Knowledge of caring principles in caring for the elderly with the right approach to it.
- Acknowledged Nursing Training from a reputable organization.
- A staff nurse’ job is demanding and requires a wide range of skills and emotional intelligence.
- Proficient in medical equipment, technology and computer literacy.
- Minimum 2 years professional or personal experience in a similar position.
Duties:
- Candidate will be required to work shifts as per shift roster. This includes day, night, weekends en public holidays.
- Providing quality and high standard direct patient care.
- Managing of carers and working well as a team.
- Administering medication.
- Monitoring vital signs.

- General Certificates of Secondary Education (GCSE’s).
- Knowledge of caring principles in caring for the elderly.
- Ensure necessary documentation is completed daily.
- Emotional intelligence.
- Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene of yourself.
- Applicant must enjoy good health with a positive attitude.
- At least 1 year professional experience in a similar position.
Duties:
- Candidate will be required to work shifts as per shift roster. This includes day, night, weekends and public holidays.
- Providing patient and resident care with passion.
- Assisting the residence with bathing, grooming and getting dressed.
- Transferring the elderly to and from activities and meals.
- Serving meals to residents.
- Interact with residents and fellow employees.
- Must be able to work as a team.
- Participating in meetings.
- Carry out any reasonable instruction from the Head of department and Home Manager.
- Excellent communication skills and work effectively to prioritize the workload and a resident’s care needs and assist with daily activities.

Cleaner:
Requirements/Skills :

- Be sensitive to the privacy and individual needs of the residents.
- Knowledge of use of chemicals and Health and Safety protocols.

- At least 1 year experience in a similar position is a plus.
Duties:
- Candidate will be required to work shifts as per shift roster. This includes day, night, weekends and public holidays.
- Ensuring a clean environment for our service users and staff.
- Interact with residents and fellow employees.

- Providing a daily high quality service and high deep cleaning standard of cleanliness according to the cleaning schedules.
- Ensuring compliance and adhere to infection control procedures and policies.
- Correct use and application of cleaning products and materials.
- Carry out all cleaning duties on a daily basis as directed by the head of Housekeeping according to the required company standards.
- Carry out any reasonable instruction from the Supervisor and the Home Manager.

Chef:
Requirements/Skills :
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality.
- Proof of Identity.
- National Senior Certificate.
- Police Clearance Certificate.
- Communicate, read and write well in English and Afrikaans.
- Proof of qualification from a reputable organization or any college education with programs for a specific trade or skill.
- Strong planning and organizational skills with great time management.
- People skills are important.
- Knowing how to manage the expectations of the old age home.
- Managing staff and motivation of teamwork.
- Consistency of preparation and presentation.
- Knowledge of working in a similar environment.
- Enthusiastic about cooking with a hands-on attitude.
- Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene of yourself.

Duties:

- Ordering and managing of supplies to avoid wastages and shortages – therefore great Stock Control.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is correctly and safely used and kept in a safe, clean condition.
- Correct use and application of cleaning products and materials.
- Carry out any reasonable instruction from the Food Service Manager and the Home Manager.

Kitchen/General Assistant:
Requirements/Skills :
- Proof of Identity.

- Basic food hygiene Certificate.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene, food preparation and safety procedures.
- Knowledge of working in a similar position or understanding the working environment of an old age home with experience working with the elderly.
- Compassionate, empathetic and caring nature.
- Excellent organizational, time management and multi-tasking abilities.
- Enthusiastic about cooking.
- Capacity to work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.

- Wash up dirty crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment.
- Prepare food trolleys ready for meals to be served.
- From time to time you may be required to assist in catering for special events.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is correctly and safely used and kept in a safe, clean condition.
- Carry out any reasonable instruction from the Food Service Manager and the Home Manager.
- Follow ecological waste disposal of food packaging and food waste.
- Apply with all Health and Safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Take part in training courses as required.
